RIYADH — The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has forecast varied weather conditions across Saudi Arabia during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, including cold waves, moderate to heavy rainfall, and active winds. The NCM said that cold weather is expected during the night and early morning hours across the northern regions and the southern highlands. Meanwhile, temperatures is expected to remain moderate across the rest of the country. Moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast over several regions, including Riyadh, the Eastern Province, Qassim, Makkah, Madinah, Hail, and Najran. Rain is also expected to extend to the highlands of Asir, Jazan, and Al-Baha, as well as parts of the Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, and Tabuk. The report indicated that active winds causing dust are expected during the daytime in Tabuk, Al-Jouf, the Northern Borders, Hail, and Qassim. Dust activity may also affect the eastern parts of Makkah and Madinah, as well as the western areas of the Riyadh region. The NCM noted the possibility of fog formation in the Eastern Province and in parts of the Northern Borders and Al-Jouf. Fog is also expected in the highlands of Asir and Al-Baha, as well as in Makkah. The center advised the public to follow its official channels for updates and additional information throughout the Eid holiday period.
