ANKARA — Turkey and Singapore have officially announced the date of Eid Al-Fitr based on astronomical calculations, as both countries do not rely on traditional moon sighting.Turkey confirmed that Eid Al-Fitr will fall on Friday, March 20, citing the expected visibility of the Shawwal crescent on Thursday from its territory and other regions.In contrast, Singapore announced that Eid will be observed on Saturday, March 21, due to the expected impossibility of sighting the crescent moon within the country on Thursday.Both countries are currently marking the 28th day of Ramadan.
