Saudi air defenses intercept 20 drones, destroy ballistic missile

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s air defenses intercepted and destroyed 20 drones and a ballistic missile launched toward the Kingdom, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Malki said.Al-Malki said 17 drones were intercepted and destroyed in the Eastern Province since Friday.Two drones were intercepted and destroyed in the Empty Quarter.Another drone was intercepted and destroyed in the Al-Jouf region.Air defense systems also intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched toward Al-Kharj governorate, he added.
