DOHA — Qatar’s Interior Ministry announced Saturday that authorities are evacuating “specified areas” as a temporary precautionary measure in the interest of public safety until security threats have subsided.In a statement posted on the social media platform X, the ministry urged citizens to rely on official sources for information and to adhere to issued instructions.The announcement comes amid escalating regional tensions following the joint attacks launched by Israel and the United States against Iran on Feb. 28.The attacks have killed about 1,300 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Iraq and Gulf countries.
