RIYADH — The Ministry of Tourism is continuing intensive inspection campaigns targeting hospitality facilities and tourism service providers in Makkah and Madinah during the last ten days of Ramadan. The efforts are part of its ongoing campaign to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and enhance the quality of services provided to pilgrims. The ministry stressed that operating a hospitality activity without a valid license constitutes a regulatory violation punishable by fines of up to SR1 million, closure of the establishment, or both.Field teams are conducting inspection and awareness tours covering hospitality facilities, private accommodation establishments, travel and tourism agencies, and other tourism activities to verify compliance with licensing requirements and quality and safety standards. It also affirmed its readiness to receive visitors’ inquiries and feedback regarding tourism services through the unified tourism center (930), which operates around the clock throughout the week.
