The initiative aims to provide dedicated operational corridors to receive containers and cargo diverted from ports in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province and ports across GCC countries to Jeddah Islamic Port and other Saudi ports on the Red Sea coast. The move seeks to enhance supply chain efficiency and facilitate the movement of goods between the Kingdom’s ports.

Al-Jasser affirmed the high level of readiness of the Kingdom’s transport and logistics system and its ability to respond swiftly to supply chain requirements.

He noted that the strength of Saudi Arabia’s infrastructure and the flexibility of its logistics services have enabled it to adapt to current developments and activate alternative logistics corridors to ensure the continued flow of trade in the region.
