RIYADH — On behalf of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan attended on Monday a virtual meeting with leaders from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Turkiye, and Armenia, as well as the presidents of the European Council and the European Commission.The meeting focused on the recent cowardly Iranian attacks that targeted several countries, leading to attacks on civilians, vital infrastructure, and diplomatic missions. The European representatives reaffirmed their strategic and important relations with the participating countries and expressed full solidarity during these challenging times. Discussions also focused on collaborative efforts to enhance regional and international security and stability, protect civilians, fully respect international law and humanitarian law, and uphold the principles of the Charter of the United Nations.Deputy Foreign Minister for International Multilateral Affairs Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, Director General of the General Department of Asian Affairs Nasser Al-Ghannoum and Director of the European Union Department Talal Al-Anzi also attended the meeting from the Saudi side.
