The partnership comprises 46 countries, represented by leading experts from civil society, governments, industry, and academia to bridge the gap between the theoretical and applied dimensions of artificial intelligence, in addition to supporting research and development activities aligned with its priorities.

This membership is expected to enhance the global technology community’s confidence in the Kingdom’s regulatory environment, attract high-quality investments, major technology companies, and entrepreneurs, and support the government’s efforts to localize advanced technologies and increase the digital economy’s contribution to gross domestic product, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The GPAI membership provides an opportunity to actively participate in influential international dialogues, contribute to shaping standards and policies governing emerging technologies, and exchange expertise with member states and experts from governments, industry, and academia.
