Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) published the economic substance requirements regulation for special economic Zones (SEZ) for public consultation on the Istitlaa Platform until March 3.
The draft regulation aims to define the economic substance requirements that investors in SEZ must meet, along with the relevant regulations.
According to the regulation, the term “zone” refers to the King Abdullah Economic City Special Economic Zone (KAEC SEZ), the Ras Al Khair SEZ, the Jazan SEZ, and the Cloud Computing SEZ, established pursuant to regulations.
