Diriyah governor receives officials and university leaders following royal appointment

RIYADH — Diriyah Governor Prince Rakan bin Salman received a number of officials and institutional leaders in his office on Tuesday, who congratulated him on the royal order appointing him as governor of Diriyah.Prince Rakan received Diriyah Company Group CEO Jerry Inzerillo and members of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, who extended their congratulations on the occasion of his appointment.During the meeting, he was briefed on Diriyah’s ongoing projects and future plans aimed at strengthening the governorate’s position as a global destination for culture, heritage and tourism.He underscored the importance of coordinated efforts and teamwork to fulfill the leadership’s aspirations.At the conclusion of the meeting, the governor received a commemorative gift marking the occasion.In a separate meeting, Prince Rakan received Dr. Zaid Al-Zamil, chairman of the Board of Directors of Knowledge University, along with Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Sagheer, president of the university, and a number of university officials, who also offered their congratulations.He also met with acting President of King Saud University Dr. Ali Masmali, who congratulated him on his appointment.The meeting included discussions on areas of cooperation between the governorate and the university and ways to enhance partnership efforts to support development initiatives, scientific research and community service in Diriyah.In addition, Prince Rakan received Director General of Education in Riyadh Region Dr. Naif Al-Zarae, who extended his congratulations.The governor was presented with a copy of the region’s annual education report outlining key achievements and educational initiatives over the past year.On each occasion, Prince Rakan expressed his appreciation for the well-wishers and their kind sentiments, praying for success in serving the leadership and the nation.
