Matarat Holding, in cooperation with the National Center for Privatization PPP (NCP), announced the launch of the Expression of Interest (EOI) phase for the development of Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model (Build–Transfer–Operate), under the umbrella of the Supervisory Committee for Privatization in the Transport and Logistics Sector.

According to an official statement, the project will be awarded under a 30-year contract, including the construction period.

Local, regional, and international private sector companies have been invited to participate and submit their proposals.

The project includes the development and operation of Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim; the design, financing, construction, transfer, operation, and maintenance; a fully equipped passenger terminal designed to accommodate projected airport demand; supporting service facilities; the development of airside infrastructure, including the runway, taxiways, and halls.

The project site is located approximately 25 kilometers from the city of Buraidah in the Qassim region.

Upon completion, the project is expected to increase the airport’s passenger handling capacity in line with anticipated annual travel growth.

Matarat Holding and NCP invited interested investors to review the EOI document—containing detailed project information—via the NCP’s official website. The deadline for applications submission is February 23, 2026.

Matarat Holding oversees the operation of 27 airports across the Kingdom through its subsidiaries, including: Riyadh Airports Co., Jeddah Airports Co., Dammam Airports Co., and Cluster 2 Airports Co.
