RIYADH — Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the seventh edition of the Saudi Cup will be held on Feb. 13 and 14, 2026.With a total prize purse of $35.35 million, the Saudi Cup remains the world’s richest race meeting, attracting elite owners, trainers and jockeys from across the international racing scene.Prince Bandar bin Khalid bin Faisal, chairman of the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia, said the Saudi Cup has made significant strides in global rankings and continues to grow in stature with each edition.He noted that the event reflects Saudi Arabia’s long-term vision to elevate the sport of horse racing, while strengthening its presence on the international stage and engaging local communities.Beyond the races, the Saudi Cup has evolved into a broader cultural and commercial showcase, highlighting Saudi heritage through fashion, folk arts and traditional handicrafts, alongside world-class sporting competition.Prince Bandar said the event aligns with the objectives of Vision 2030 by presenting Saudi culture to a global audience and promoting excellence across multiple sectors, not only in sport.He also expressed appreciation to international participants, emphasizing that the Saudi Cup’s continued success is the result of strategic planning and the Kingdom’s growing influence in global sports and entertainment.
