JEDDAH — Global pop icon Shakira will perform a post-race concert at the Formula 1 STC Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, organizers announced Thursday.The multi-GRAMMY Award-winning Colombian superstar is set to take the main stage at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on Sunday, April 19, following the conclusion of the race, according to the Saudi Motorsport Company.Formula 1 will return to Jeddah from April 17 to 19, 2026, with the night race held on the world’s fastest street circuit along the Red Sea coast.Since its debut, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix has established itself as one of the championship’s most visually striking and high-energy events, combining top-tier racing with global entertainment acts.Shakira is among the most successful Latin artists of all time, having sold more than 95 million records worldwide and earned four Grammy Awards and 15 Latin Grammy Awards.She is the most-viewed female Latin artist on YouTube and the most-streamed female Latin artist on Spotify.Her latest album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, released in 2024, won the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album and became the most-streamed album globally within its first 24 hours.In 2025, Shakira launched a stadium world tour under the same title, breaking attendance records, including seven sold-out shows in Mexico City.Organizers said Shakira’s performance offers fans an early preview of the entertainment lineup planned for the 2026 race weekend, with additional international artists to be announced in the coming weeks.The three-day event will feature live concerts alongside Formula 1, F1 Academy races, and a full program of fan activities.The 2026 Formula 1 season is expected to be a milestone year, introducing next-generation cars under new technical regulations aimed at closer competition.The grid will also expand with Cadillac joining as an 11th team, while Audi is set to make its long-awaited Formula 1 debut.
