The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD), in partnership with the Ministry of Health (MOH), announced the launch of phase two of the decision to increase Saudization percentages for dentistry professions in the private sector, effective today, Jan. 27.

According to the ministry, phase two applies to all private sector establishments employing three or more workers in dental specialties, with a Saudization target of 55%.

As outlined in the procedural guide, to count a Saudi dentist toward the Saudization percentage, their monthly salary recorded with the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) must be at least SAR 9,000, and they must hold a valid professional accreditation from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).

The ministry explained that the decision continues efforts to Saudize health professions, with the MOH overseeing implementation according to labor market needs.

Private sector establishments will benefit from support and incentive programs provided by the Human Resources and Social Development system.

These programs include assistance with recruitment, training, qualification, employment, and career continuity, as well as priority access to Saudization support programs and initiatives offered by the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF – Tamheer).

The decision is part of the ministries’ broader efforts to enhance the participation of national competencies in the labor market and provide stimulating and productive job opportunities for Saudi men and women across the Kingdom, supporting the labor market strategic goals and the Health Sector Transformation Program.

The ministry noted that the procedural guide has been published on its website to explain the details of the decision and the required Saudization percentages, urging all establishments to comply to avoid legal penalties.
