DAVOS — Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha held a series of meetings with leaders of several global technology companies during the Saudi delegation’s participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The meetings focused on expanding partnerships in advanced communications networks, artificial intelligence (AI), and semiconductors, with the aim of boosting the digital economy and enhancing the Kingdom’s global competitiveness. Alswaha met with Ericsson Group President and Chief Executive Officer Börje Ekholm to discuss the development of advanced communications networks and their role in accelerating technological innovation and digital economic growth. He also met with Vice President of Partnerships at Meta Ash Jhaveri to explore expanding partnerships in advanced digital technologies, enabling technological innovation, and building capabilities to support digital economy growth in the age of AI. In addition, the minister met with IBM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Arvind Krishna to discuss opportunities for cooperation in AI, computing, and the development of digital capabilities.
