The Saudi embassy in Russia said the mutual visa exemption agreement between the two countries has not yet entered into force.

In a post on X, the embassy said the agreement’s implementation remains subject to the completion of required regulatory procedures between both sides under approved frameworks, adding that an official announcement will be made once the agreement is ratified by the relevant authorities in both countries.

On Dec. 1, 2025, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the signing of the mutual visa exemption agreement for Saudi and Russian citizens on the sidelines of the Saudi–Russian Investment and Business Forum in Riyadh.
