The total electricity transmitted to the grid in the Kingdom increased by nearly 5.7% YoY in 2024, reaching 402,630 GWh.

Riyadh accounted for the largest share of total electricity consumption at 87,490 GWh, or 25.7%, followed by the Eastern Region with 83,500 GWh or 24.5%, and then Makkah Region with 22.7%. Al Baha recorded the lowest level of consumption at 0.7%, as shown in the table below:
