Taiba Investments Co.’s portfolio currently includes 40 properties with around 8,000 hotel keys, while the company is working on eight new ones under construction, Vice President of Marketing and Communications Hamad Al-Salman said.

Al-Salman explained that these projects are among the key pillars of the company’s strategy to expand in the local market.

In an interview with Argaam on the sidelines of TOURISE Global Summit 2025, he stated that the company’s strategy focuses primarily on the Kingdom’s hospitality and hotel sector, emphasizing ongoing expansion in covering tourism projects and developing new properties that keep up with the sector’s growing momentum.

The company recently opened the Rixos Obhur Jeddah Resort, marking the brand’s first presence in the Kingdom. The resort includes more than 270 hotel units, along with restaurants, pools, and family facilities, and is considered one of the prominent all-inclusive experiences in Saudi Arabia, he added.

The official further noted that two weeks ago, a soft opening was conducted for Makarem Burj Almadinah, which carries the luxury Makarem brand and offers a new experience through two-story suites and services tailored for visitors to Al Madinah.

He pointed out that the company is preparing to open several properties this year and next year, including Crown Plaza Al-Takhassusi – Riyadh, Novotel Madinah, and Sheraton Madinah.

Al-Salman added that Taiba is preparing to open the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, which is anticipated to open in 2028 and is considered one of the world’s most prestigious hotel brands.

He affirmed that Taiba sees itself in an important strategic phase that requires accelerating the pace of work to capitalize on the strong growth in the tourism sector, noting that the Kingdom is heading toward major global events and large-scale hosting, in addition to economic expansion and the growing openness to the world.

In the end, Al-Salman stated that these places a great deal of responsibility on national companies to provide top-notch hospitality and tourism experiences that complement Vision 2030 goals and profit from the quick changes the Kingdom’s tourism industry is witnessing.
