Obeikan Glass announced that the Ministry of Energy issued an approval to allocate the required quantities of gas and electrical power to meet the operational needs of the second float glass production line project, with a production capacity of 650 tons per day, in Yanbu Industrial City.

The company said will continue to complete the remaining regulatory and technical requirements and will announce any further developments in due course.

According to Argaam’s data, the company’s board of directors approved, in October 2024, the establishment of a second float glass production line at its current factory located in the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY), at a cost of approximately SAR 520 million.

It said then that the new line will focus on producing various types of float and colored glass for the automotive industry, construction projects, and mirrors.
