Jabal Omar Development Co. announced yesterday, Oct. 28 that it signed two contracts with Accor Group and Rotana Hotels Resorts to operate seven hotel towers within the fourth phase of its Makkah project. 
According to two separate statements on Tadawul, the first contract was signed with Accor Group to manage and operate four towers comprising 1,141 hotel units.
The hotels are expected to commence operations in Q4 2026 under the Sofitel Jabal Omar brand. The financial impact will appear after the hotels begin operations.
The second contract was signed with Rotana Hotels Resorts to manage and operate three towers, including 655 hotel units, under the Rotana Jabal Omar brand. Operations are scheduled to start in Q4 2025, with the financial impact to be reflected thereafter.
Jabal Omar stated that both Accor and Rotana will receive a share of revenues and a percentage of the hotels’ gross operating profit in return for management and operation services.
Each contract has a term of 15 years, renewable upon mutual agreement, the company added, noting that there are no related parties involved.
