Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman stated that the Kingdom prioritizes national companies in renewable energy projects — such as ACWA Power which operates in partnership with Aramco and the Public Investment Fund (PIF).

Addressing the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference, the minister said ACWA Power received support in order to be positioned among global competition, emphasizing the government’s collaboration with it to achieve this goal.

Regarding the battery sector, the minister noted that Saudi Arabia began developing this industry two years ago. “We told the Chinese, ‘Be ready — we are coming next year’,” he added.

He also invited investors attending the conference, as well as those from around the world, to invest in Saudi Arabia.
