OPEC made no changes to its forecasts for global oil demand growth in 2025 and 2026, as consumption continues to recover in emerging economies and amid limited growth in developed countries. 
The organization said in a report released Monday that global oil demand is likely to rise by 1.3 million barrels per day (bpd) in 2025 — unchanged from last month’s estimate.
The organization also maintained its forecast for the 2026 global oil demand growth at 1.4 million bpd.
In its report, OPEC projected OECD demand to grow on an annual basis by about 0.1 million bpd during this year and next.
During 2025 and 2026, the bulk of oil demand growth will come from non-OECD countries, at about 1.2 million bpd.
OPEC expects the global economy to grow by 3% this year and 3.1% in 2026, with the US economy growing by 1.8% and 2.1% this year and next, respectively.
