This surge in wealth was partly driven by Tesla’s 4% stock rally during Wednesday’s Wall Street session, which added about $9.3 billion to his fortune.
However, the stock pared some of its gains by the session’s close, bringing the net worth of the Tesla, SpaceX, and xAI CEO down to $499.1 billion, according to Forbes’ real-time billionaire tracker.
Musk’s fortune now far surpasses that of his closest competitor, Oracle founder Larry Ellison, whose net worth stood at $350.7 billion after the market closed.
