Thimar Development Co. said that its Zakat declarations were finalized by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) for the years 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022.

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said that the final result of the inspection work was that the Authority approved what was filed by the company and did not make any amendments to the previously filed Zakat declarations, and therefore the amount of the increase received by the Authority’s initial assessment, amounting to SAR 4.76 million, which the company would have incurred as a loss, was canceled.

The examination of the company’s declarations by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) for the years 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 took more than thirty months, starting on Jan. 22, 2023 and ending on Aug. 14, 2025.The initial assessment was issued by the Authority by instructing the company to increase the value of the previously filed Zakat declarations by SAR 4.76 million due to the lack of supporting documents and evidence due to their loss.

During this period, the company made several efforts to prove the validity of the company’s previously filed statements and cancel the above-mentioned increase in the valuation result, including: Numerous meetings with ZATCA to change the search result with the information that supports the company’s position, review the banks ‘ statements for the four years and search for the amounts that have an impact on the result and search for any document that supports the company’s position, whether directly or indirectly, and communicating with suppliers and obtain statements of accounts, billing documents, photos of payments and matches that report the status of the inspection, especially for the years 2019 and 2020, according to the statement.
