The Cabinet, chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, approved today, Aug. 26, the Law of Expropriation of Real Estate for Public Benefit and Temporary Taking of Property.

Minister of Finance, Mohammed Al-Jadaan, said the updated expropriation law aims to enhance the governance of property expropriation procedures or temporary seizure of properties, ensuring fair compensation, safeguarding public funds, and supporting sustainable development.

The council also approved the updated strategy for developing the Aseer region, during its meeting held today, Aug. 26, in Jeddah, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The council further noted that the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) helped employ 267,000 Saudi men and women in private sector establishments during H1 2025, underscoring its strategic role in empowering national talent, enhancing competitiveness, and supporting labor market growth in the Kingdom.
