Arabian Contracting Services Co. (Al Arabia) said that a preliminary court ruling has been issued dismissing the lawsuit filed against the Eastern Province Municipality regarding the cancellation of a previously awarded tender.

The case involved the annulment of a decision to reissue the tender for the “design, operation, maintenance, and installation of advertising billboards through all available means in Dammam Metropolitan Area (Dammam, Al Khobar, and Dhahran), a project that had initially been awarded to the company through the “Forsah” platform.
In a statement to Tadawul, the company stated it had filed a legal case before the Administrative Court in Dammam seeking to overturn the municipality’s decision to reissue the tender after the company had already been declared the winner. However, the Administrative Court issued a preliminary ruling dismissing the lawsuit, with the judgment dated yesterday, Aug. 10.
The company added that it intends to appeal the ruling and will submit an objection within the legal timeframe. It also affirmed that it will announce any significant developments related to the case.
According to Argaam data, Al Arabia won, in June 2023, the 10-year contract for the design, operation, maintenance, and installation of advertising billboards in Dammam, Khobar, and Dhahran in the Eastern Province.
