Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said in his opening remarks at the Gulf-US Summit that this meeting with President Donald Trump is an extension of the historic and strategic partnership between our countries and the United States, which has grown and developed over the past decades to become a model of joint cooperation. 
This summit reflects our commitment to collective action to strengthen our relationship and expand and develop our strategic partnership to meet the aspirations of our countries and peoples, he added.
The Crown Prince also indicated that the Gulf-US Summit, held with President Donald Trump in 2017, emphasized the importance of strengthening the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, protecting their interests, combating terrorism and eradicating its growth, enhancing the military, security, and defense capabilities of the GCC countries, and confronting various challenges, as well as confronting regional and global challenges with a shared vision to achieve regional and global security and stability.
Bin Salman further explained that the GCC countries share the US’ belief in the importance of economic partnership and trade cooperation, noting that the US is a major trade and investment partner, with the volume of trade exchange between the GCC countries and the US in 2024 reaching nearly $120 billion. We look forward to maintaining our cooperation and work with the US to exchange trade, strengthen economic relations, and open new horizons for taking advantage of opportunities and cooperation in all areas to achieve our common interests.
The Crown Prince added that the future the Kingdom aspires to, through achieving sustainable development goals, requires a stable and peaceful environment. He referred to the magnitude of the challenge facing the region, and noted that he seeks, with President Trump, and in cooperation with the GCC countries, to stop the escalation in the region, end the war in Gaza, and find a permanent and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international resolutions, in a manner that achieves peace and safety for the peoples of the region. He also affirmed his support for everything that would end crises and end conflict through peaceful means.
Based on this, the Kingdom continues to encourage dialogue between the Yemeni parties and to reach a comprehensive deplomatic solution in Yemen. We will continue our efforts to end the crisis in Sudan through the Jeddah Forum, which enjoys Saudi-US sponsorship, to achieve a complete ceasefire in Sudan. We also emphasize the importance of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria, he stated.
On the Ukrainian crisis, the Crown Prince affirmed the Kingdom’s readiness to continue its efforts to reach a diplomatic solution to end the Ukrainian crisis, praising the efforts of President Donald Trump, in this regard.
