A self-driving taxi project will be launched in the city of Riyadh soon, according to Omaima Bamsok, Undersecretary of Transportation Empowerment at the Transport General Authority (TGA). 
She added that this comes as part of the autonomous transportation initiative, which will represent a qualitative step towards a smart and sustainable future in the transportation sector.
This came during her participation in a panel discussion at the Artificial Intelligence Conference “2025 UJ” organized by the University of Jeddah.
