Oil tanks
US crude oil inventories declined more than forecast in the week ended May 2, according to data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Wednesday.
Commercial crude inventories fell by 2 million barrels last week, compared to expectations for a decline by 1.3 million barrels.
Gasoline inventories increased by 200,000 barrels, while distillate stocks—including diesel and heating oil—decreased by 1.1 million barrels.
