Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources said the number of operational factories rose 7.8% in January 2025, reaching 11,870 compared to 11,010 a year earlier.
In a statement on X, the ministry said it issued 63 new industrial licenses in the month, drawing SAR 1.2 billion in investments and creating around 2,500 jobs.
It added that 103 factories started production in January, with investments totaling SAR 900 million and about 1,504 new jobs.
