LEAP 2025, the world’s largest technology event, kicked off in Riyadh with more than $14.9 billion in investments and strategic partnerships secured on its first day.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) affirmed that these investments will strengthen the Kingdom’s global leadership in artificial intelligence (AI), advanced technologies, and the digital economy. These investments encompass over $10.9 billion allocated to infrastructure, AI, and initiatives supporting emerging companies.

Alat and Lenovo will invest $2 billion to develop an AI- and robotics-driven manufacturing and technology hub, while Lenovo will establish its regional headquarters in Riyadh.

Moreover, Groq will invest $1.5 billion to build the world’s largest AI data center. Databricks will invest $300 million to develop end-to-end platform-as-a-service (PaaS) solutions for app developers. Google will invest in AI digital infrastructure, launching a global cluster in Saudi Arabia to meet regional and international demand.
