Majed Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, said that the regulatory framework for the real estate sector witnessed significant growth in 2024, issuing 192 licenses for projects with a total value of SAR 147 billion.

In his speech during the Real Estate Future Forum, he pointed out that the regulatory framework aims to facilitate and organize the development of real estate projects, starting from licensing procedures to the completion of real estate developments.

Over the past few years, the real estate sector saw the issuance of more than 20 key real estate regulations announced by the Real Estate General Authority (REGA), aiming to organize the sector, enhance its attractiveness and vitality, and increase trust in it, the minister added. As a result, the real estate market was classified as one of the most improved markets globally.

The real estate regulations saw growth across all relevant fields, Al-Hogail noted, highlighting that the real estate sector became one of the key pillars of Vision 2030.
