The unemployment rate among Saudis increased to 7.8% in Q3 2024, up from 7.1% at the end of Q2 2024, according to the Q3 2024 Labor Force Survey issued today, Dec. 31, by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
The unemployment rate among Saudi males was approximately 4.7%, while it stood at 13.6% for Saudi females. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate for non-Saudis was recorded at 1.4%.
According to GASTAT’s Labor Force Survey estimates, the overall unemployment rate for the working-age population increased to 3.7% in Q3 2024, up from 3.3% in Q2 2024.
